In 1995 a new era of healthcare began in the Hot Springs community when the physicians of
Doctors' Clinic, Medical Park Diagnostic Clinic, and Burton-Eisele Clinic merged to form Hot
Springs Medical Group, P.A. In this process, Health Resource Group, Inc. (HRG) was formed as
a separate company to handle the administrative functions of the medical group. The physicians
of Hot Springs Medical Group, P.A. and St. Joseph's Regional Health Center also entered into
a joint ownership arrangement with Health Resource Group, Inc.The following year the
physicians of the Children & Youth Clinic merged their practice into Health Resource Group
and Hot Springs Medical Group. Since that time, the group has continued to grow by recruiting
new physicians.
As the healthcare environment has evolved and changed, our organization has continued its
change also. In October 2002, Hot Springs Medical Group became known as Heritage Physician
Group. This was a change designed to reflect our rich history, while at the same time, reflecting
a modern vision for delivering quality healthcare.
The choice of Heritage Physician Group as our new name is based on the rich tradition and
history of our founding physicians. Some of the original groups that formed this organization
trace their roots in this community back to 1953. The heritage created by these physicians
runs deep in this community. We now have sons of the founding members of the group working as
physicians for Heritage Physician Group.
Heritage Physician Group is a multi-specialty group, representing a wide variety of medical
disciplines. In our quest to meet the needs of the community, we now have nine locations in
which we take care of our patients. Our willingness to meet these needs will continue to
be demonstrated by the growth of our group. This growth, as well as other internal and external
adjustments, are designed to ensure efficient delivery of healthcare to our patients.
As we look to the future, our goal is to continue the long tradition of quality patient care
that all our clinics have in their history. We look forward to serving all of your healthcare
needs.
